CHANGE A CHILD’S STORY

OUR MISSION IS TO CHANGE THE FUTURE FOR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE.

Having a caring adult advocate for their best interest can make a lasting difference for a child who’s been neglected or abused.

CASA and GAL volunteers make a life-changing difference for children and youth. Each volunteer is trained and supported by highly-qualified staff members.

Your gift will help CASA and our volunteers be there for children who need someone by their side.

What is a CASA?

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer is appointed by the Family Court Judge to provide factual, independent and objective information regarding the status of children involved in child protective proceedings. The CASA Volunteer compliments the duties of other professionals involved in neglect and abuse cases. Other professionals include, but are not limited to, the Court, protective service workers, foster care workers, prosecuting attorneys, the Guardian Ad Litem, attorneys for the respondent parents, and therapists and counselors.

CASA of Cass County

Was founded in 1997 and provides court-appointed special advocates who are the “voice” for abused and neglected children in child protective proceedings. Help us continue to meet the needs of local children in foster care by becoming a CASA Volunteer.
