I grew up in Davison, Michigan on the east side of the state, but in 1986 after graduating with a BA in Elementary Education I came to Cass County as a new teacher.  I went on to earn an MA in School Psychology from Western Michigan University and an MA in Counseling from Andrews University.  I have been working as a teacher and a counselor for Dowagiac Union Schools for 30 years.  My husband and I have raised our 4 children here and during that time I have come to know and love the children of Cass County.  Over the years I have gotten to know many children that have been a part of the foster care system. When I heard about CASA and the work of the organization, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  I am honored to have an opportunity to serve on the Cass County CASA Board.
