Joe Silvia, Board President

I am a life-long resident of Cass County. I graduated from Dowagiac Union Schools, Southwestern Michigan College and hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel College. I’m in my twenty ninth year of banking and currently the branch manager of Chemical Bank’s Dowagiac office. Between my wife Jo and I, we have two sons, two daughters, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and counting. I am a firm believer in giving back to the community which has given me so much. In addition to being a Board member of CASA, I am also the Vice-Chairman of the Cass County Board of Public Works, Secretary/Treasurer of Chi Ishobak, (the Pokagon Band CDFI), and a Board member of the Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce.

It is an honor and privilege to be a Board member of Cass County CASA. We are all obligated and responsible for the safety and wellbeing of our children. Every child deserves the right to live a life without pain, be treated with dignity, have an opportunity to live a full and productive life and be part of a loving family. If we all do our part we can make a difference.
